Google PowerMeter - Coming to an Electricity Utility near you?

The amount of electricity we use, when we use it, and suggestions on how to save electricity. To me that is good information to know.

 

Google is teaming up with electricity providers, usage monitoring device manufacturers, and home-owners to set-up a usage monitoring system to help save energy.

 

You will be able to access the data from your personal computer so you can learn about your power-usage habits and ways to help reduce the amount of electricity you use.

 

The site says they have trials in several countries, Canada included. Lets hope it will come to Edmonton and surrounding areas.

 

Saving electricity and the environment. Great on both accounts.
