Supporting the Troops at Christmas
On behalf of our Headquarters Company, I wish to express my sincere appreciation for your generous donations to the soldiers of the Third Battalion, Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, for our annual Christmas Party held on 5 December 2008. With our troops having undergone another busy year, including a deployment to Afghanistan, the Christmas party was a great opportunity for our soldiers and their families to relax and enjoy a stress-free environment.
Your donations, along with several others from the local business community, were given away through a raffle during the party. Our soldiers were extremely impressed with your generous gifts and they were a major factor in the lifting of spirits over the holidays. Indeed, the level of support that you demonstrated surpassed our expectations. Once again, you have proven that Edmonton remains one of the largest national supporters of Canadian soldiers. The winners will proudly enjoy the board games entertainment, and will always remember it as a gift from those whom we serve.
